# Waddle Language Open Source License (WLOS)
|

## 0. Definitions
|
||
|
|
|
||
|
|
"Software" refers to the Waddle programming language core implementation, including but not limited to:
|
||
|
|
- Compiler source code
|
||
|
|
- Runtime environment
|
||
|
|
- Core language specification
|
||
|
|
- Lexical and grammatical definitions
|
||
|
|
|
||
|
|
"Module" refers to independently developed extensions that interact with the Waddle language runtime through approved interfaces.
|
||
|
|
|
||
|
|
"Contributor" means any individual or legal entity that creates, contributes to, or submits modifications to the Software.
|
||
|
|
|
||
|
|
## 1. Grant of Rights
|
||
|
|
|
||
|
|
### 1.1 Core Software Usage Rights
|
||
|
|
<b>Subject to the terms of this license, the Waddle Language Project grants a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to:</b>
|
||
|
|
- Use the Software
|
||
|
|
- Execute programs written in Waddle
|
||
|
|
- Create and distribute Modules
|
||
|
|
- View and contribute to the source code repository
|
||
|
|
|
||
|
|
### 1.2 Restrictions
|
||
|
|
<b>Users and Contributors SHALL NOT:</b>
|
||
|
|
- Modify the core language syntax
|
||
|
|
- Alter the fundamental language semantics
|
||
|
|
- Redistribute modified versions of the core language implementation
|
||
|
|
- Remove or alter any copyright, license, or attribution notices
|
||
|
|
|
||
|
|
## 2. Contribution License
|
||
|
|
|
||
|
|
### 2.1 Contribution Submissions
|
||
|
|
By submitting a contribution to the Waddle Language Project, you agree that:
|
||
|
|
- Your contributions are voluntarily submitted
|
||
|
|
- You grant the Waddle Language Project a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, and sublicense your contributions
|
||
|
|
- You assert that you have the right to submit the contributions
|
||
|
|
|
||
|
|
### 2.2 Contribution Review
|
||
|
|
- All contributions are subject to review by the Waddle Language core team
|
||
|
|
- The core team reserves the right to:
|
||
|
|
- Accept or reject any contribution
|
||
|
|
- Modify contributions to meet project standards
|
||
|
|
- Remove or modify contributions at any time
|
||
|
|
|
||
|
|
## 3. Module Development
|
||
|
|
|
||
|
|
### 3.1 Module Licensing
|
||
|
|
<b>Modules may be licensed under any open-source or proprietary license, with the following conditions:</b>
|
||
|
|
- Modules must use approved Waddle language extension interfaces
|
||
|
|
- Modules cannot circumvent language security mechanisms
|
||
|
|
- Modules distributed through official channels must pass security review
|
||
|
|
|
||
|
|
### 3.2 Module Distribution
|
||
|
|
- Developers may create and distribute Modules freely
|
||
|
|
- Official module repositories may impose additional guidelines
|
||
|
|
- The Waddle Language Project is not responsible for third-party Modules
|
||
|
|
|
||
|
|
## 4. Intellectual Property
|
||
|
|
|
||
|
|
### 4.1 Ownership
|
||
|
|
<b>The Waddle Language core implementation remains the intellectual property of the Waddle Language Project.</b>
|
||
|
|
|
||

||

## 5. Disclaimer of Warranty

## 6. Limitation of Liability

## 7. Termination

This license is effective until terminated. The Waddle Language Project may terminate this license at any time if you are in breach of its terms.

This license shall be governed by the laws of Texas and the United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
